darkness

Light dispelling darkness

Fumbling my way through infinity,
Humanly, uncontrollably, grasping at all,
That is any-thing but "I".
Around me in all directions, I search,
The Path I do not find.
For these well worn trails I see,
Intuitively, I know, lead no-where
Except endlessly in circles all too familiar
To the whisper in my heart of hearts.

Fumbling my way through infinity,
I stumble, by grace perhaps, upon the no-thingness
Within.
Falling into the non-existence,
There my sense of self once reigned,
There is no-thing to grasp,
Nor, in fact, hands to reach out and grasp with,
Desire has gone.
For all has now dissolved, and only now remains.

Expanding through infinity,
Light dispelling darkness,
The vague veil of Maya, gone.
One eye wide open, heart emerging,
The other eyes, redundant, now closed.
I see, I feel, I know,
Light dispelling darkness,
Ignorance, it was, now genius it is,

Here with, as, in Infinity,
The "I" within All,
Intending,
Just as ecstasy intends endless delight,
Love intends oneness,
And the tiny seed intends,,, no, not a tree,
But a forest, an Amazon, endlessly wild and free.

The "I" within all,
Is all That I Am.

The Heart of a Soldier

The heart of a soldier

Beats fast and steady for peace

While fighting for a nation with darkness in their eyes

An unfamiliar land is preying upon your soul

Yet you still fight for freedom with integrity so bold

Knowing the tears of their children flow like streams in their streets

You are reminded of your loved ones and your heart skips a beat

In the days and months that go by you become so cold you have forgotten how to cry

Now wondering what you are doing here

Lying awake because you cannot sleep...

As your leaders are snuggled in their beds you are fighting away your fear and dread

At that moment you think to yourself why should you care

Than you see your mother's face looking into your eyes

As she says I love you...

You begin to cry...

Finally tears fall like rain down your face

After all this time you realize...

You are still alive...
